How to add transactions by hand
You can record any transaction by hand: from a broker that exports nothing, or one that is missing from your statement.
Step by step
- Go to Transactions and click Add transaction.
- Choose the portfolio. For a broker with no file and no key, choose + New manual portfolio… and name it.
- Choose the type: buy, sell, dividend, deposit, withdrawal, fee, interest, tax, transfer in or out, or split.
- Enter the date, search for the symbol (for example AAPL, VUAA.L or BTC), the quantity, the price and the fee.
- Check the amount (it is calculated for you; you can change it) and click Save.
What you will see
- The transaction appears in the history with the by hand tag. Only those can be edited or deleted.
- Your portfolio is recalculated in a few seconds.
Common problems and questions
- There was a split and my units do not add up.
- Add a split transaction with the ratio: 4 for a 4-for-1 split, 0.1 for a 1-for-10 reverse split.
- It says I am selling more than I had.
- Check the date and the portfolio. If it is right (for example, an old buy is missing), add that buy first.
- Does a manual portfolio count towards my plan?
- Yes, it counts as one broker connection.
